बजट की प्रमुख विशेषताओं में से एक राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के लिए 35,000 करोड़ रुपये का आवंटन था, ताकि देश में स्वास्थ्य सेवा के बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत किया जा सके और सभी के लिए स्वास्थ्य सेवा की पहुंच में सुधार किया जा सके। सरकार ने तकनीकी कपड़ा क्षेत्र के विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकारी नौकरियों और राष्ट्रीय तकनीकी कपड़ा मिशन के लिए भर्ती प्रक्रिया को सुव्यवस्थित करने के लिए एक राष्ट्रीय भर्ती एजेंसी स्थापित करने की योजना की भी घोषणा की।

शिक्षा मंत्रालय के लिए 99,300 करोड़ रुपये और राष्ट्रीय भर्ती एजेंसी के लिए 3,000 करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन के साथ बजट में शिक्षा क्षेत्र पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया है। सरकार ने तकनीकी कपड़ा क्षेत्र के विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकारी नौकरियों और राष्ट्रीय तकनीकी कपड़ा मिशन के लिए भर्ती प्रक्रिया को सुव्यवस्थित करने के लिए एक राष्ट्रीय भर्ती एजेंसी स्थापित करने की योजना की भी घोषणा की।

इन उपायों के अलावा, सरकार ने परिवहन बुनियादी ढांचे के लिए 5.54 लाख करोड़ रुपये और ग्रामीण बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के लिए 1.18 लाख करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन के साथ बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास में भारी निवेश करने की योजना की भी घोषणा की।
